A one-trip container has made a single loaded voyage from the factory and looks close to new. "New build" units are purpose-built and have never carried freight. Used containers have spent years in service and are graded A to C on condition. All three are wind and watertight — the difference is cosmetic condition and price.

Four tiers. Premium is effectively as-new, storage use only. Grade A is visually presentable and structurally sound. Grade B is typically five years or older and shows its age but has plenty of life left. Grade C is our most affordable stock, with significant cosmetic wear but still fully functional.

The listed price is the unit price. Delivery is quoted separately because it depends on distance, equipment and your site access — bundling it would mean either overcharging nearby customers or under-quoting distant ones.

Sales tax is applied where the law requires it, based on the delivery destination. It is calculated and shown before you pay, never added quietly afterwards. See our Sales Tax Policy.

For units held at a depot within reach, often yes — ask and we will arrange it. For everything else we will send current photographs of the actual unit or its exact grade equivalent.

Tell us what is going inside and we will tell you. As a rough guide: a 10ft holds the contents of a small garage, a 20ft roughly a one-bedroom home, and a 40ft roughly a three-bedroom home. Pallet counts are a better measure than room comparisons if you are storing stock.

If the unit will be insulated, lined or occupied, yes. A high cube gives you a full extra foot of headroom for the same footprint, and insulation plus a ceiling will eat 75 to 100 mm of it. For pure pallet storage, standard height is usually better value.

The corrugation costs about 25 mm per side, the doors about 50 mm of length, and the top rail across the door aperture roughly 100 mm of door height. Always plan against the internal and door-opening figures, never the external ones. Full tables are on our specifications page.

They are wind and watertight, which is the industry standard and what we guarantee. In a sealed steel box, condensation rather than rain is the real risk — for anything moisture-sensitive, ask us about vents or insulation.

Roughly three times the unit length of straight, firm approach, with clear overhead space. A 20ft wants about 60ft, a 40ft about 100ft. Send us a photo of the drop point and we will confirm before booking.

Yes. Depot pickup at selected freight terminals is the cheapest way to buy. We will tell you which depot holds your unit.

Tell us in advance. Soft ground will bog a loaded truck, and a stuck truck is expensive. Compacted gravel or a run of steel road plates usually solves it, and a crane offload from the roadside is the fallback.

For anything long-term, yes. Sleepers, concrete blocks or a slab under the four corner castings keep the underside ventilated and the doors square. Have them in place before delivery.

Yes, in-house. Personnel doors, windows, shutters, vents, insulation, lining, electrics, partitions, paint and full fit-outs. Send a sketch and we will price it alongside the unit. See conversions.

Yes. Rentals run on a three-month initial term paid up front, then monthly for as long as you need it. Delivery and collection are both handled by us. See rentals.

Yes — our buyback programme prices the unit fairly against its condition and offsets a proportion of the hire you have already paid.

It depends on your county and how the unit is used. A container placed on the ground and unconnected to services is usually treated very differently from one that is fixed, plumbed and occupied. We are not the right people to give a determination, but we will give you exact footprint, height and weight figures in writing for whoever is advising you.
